But help is on the way—from two people who truly understand what it means to lose everything and rebuild from nothing. Meet Grumpy Grandpa (Danny) and Magic Meme (Joanne)—a compassionate couple with a bold vision. After losing their own home in a fire and grieving the loss of beloved family members—Lydia (Mom), Allen (Dad), and Jean Marie (Joanne’s twin sister) to COVID—they know firsthand the pain of loss... but also the power of hope. Their Vision: Magic Meme’s Kingdom Danny and Joanne are transforming heartbreak into action with “Magic Meme’s Kingdom”—a safe, supportive community of 100 camper homes on land in the Sevierville and Newport area, giving displaced families a home, a job, and a fresh start. Camper Housing: They plan to buy and renovate used camper trailers to provide immediate shelter to hurricane victims. Job Creation: With Danny’s decades of experience in the scrap and salvage business, he’ll hire local residents—especially those impacted by the hurricane—to help clean up the community, repurpose materials, and fund even more camper homes. Supply Depot & Support: Joanne will manage her Magic Meme's Kingdome and the community supply depot to provide food, essentials, and emotional support to residents. This is more than just a place to live—it’s a new model of disaster recovery rooted in purpose, dignity, and community.
